Wooden Spoon is the children's charity of rugby. We are a grant-making charity and fund life-changing projects across the UK and Ireland.

The best way to support us is to become a member and join the 7,000 other people who regularly give and support us in our commitment to help the projects that apply to us for funding.

In the past year, through the 150 projects we've been able to fund, this has helped us support 60,436 children and young people living with disabilities and facing disadvantage across the UK and Ireland. However, there are many more we want to help - currently we can only approve approximately 1 in 10 of the project applications that we receive.

For membership, choose from £6 per month or £60 per annum by direct debit. As well as helping us to continue our work in supporting children and young people living with disabilities, those disadvantaged and those disengaged from society, you'll receive:

• Monthly e-Spoonews with details of campaigns and projects
• Invitations to regional events
• A welcome gift for new members - choice of Wooden Spoon tie, scarf, socks, bobble hat or pin badge
• Membership draws to win tickets and other prizes
• Bi-annual Spoonews magazine
• Being part of the rugby community.

Terms and Conditions

• There is one prize of a £250 Red Letter Days gift card in our Wooden Spoon prize draw.
• The prize draw applies to those joining Wooden Spoon as an Individual Member from 1st September 2026 - 14th October 2026 - UK residents only 18 years plus.
• Applies to Individual Membership join only, from £60 per annum or £6 per month by direct debit.
• The winner will be drawn at random from the pool of new Individual Members who have joined during the promotion period.
• For the new Individual Member, Membership needs to be in place, with valid direct debit, by date of draw to be applicable.
• Maximum of one prize draw entry per new joining Member.
• The draw will be made on 31st March 2027.
• The winner will be notified by email or telephone.
• The winner must acknowledge acceptance of the prize within 14 days of being notified.
• Any unclaimed prize will result in the draw being redrawn.
• The gift card will be provided electronically to the winner. You will need to confirm, once notified, the email address where this is to be provided to.
• Period of the promotion 1st September 2026 to 14th October 2026.
