Sensory Spaces Appeal

Help support children and young people with learning disabilities to interact in a safe environment to build their confidence.
Together we can make the world a more inclusive place for all children

What’s the issue we’re addressing?

Around 1 in 57 children in the UK are neurodiverse, facing challenges from conditions like autism, ADHD, and sensory processing disorders. Everyday environments can be overwhelming for them, leading to stress and anxiety.

How We are Helping:

Sensory rooms offer a calming space for neurodiverse children, allowing them to regulate their emotions and feel safe. These specially designed spaces help reduce anxiety, improve focus, and support their development.

How You Can Help:

Wooden Spoon is funding sensory rooms in schools, community centres, and rugby clubs. But we can’t do it alone. Your generous donations help us create these life-changing spaces - £10 could buy a Kaleidoscope Lamp and £100 could fund bean bag chairs - giving neurodiverse children the support they need to thrive.
